Volunteer Opportunities School Year Study Buddy: Volunteer Study Buddies are needed for Evergreen and R4 after-school programs. Study Buddies are paired with a small group of students to help them with homework and build a mentoring relationship with them. Study Buddies are asked to commit 2 hours per week for at least 6 months. Evergreen (1st through 6th grade) is M/ W from 3:15-5:15; R4 (jr and sr high) is T/Th from 4:00-6:00. Fun Friday Leader: Volunteers are needed for Fun Fridays at Evergreen (Fridays from 3:15-5:15) to help kids with recreational activities (art, sports, sewing). Year- Round Teen Mentor: Youth group mentors are needed for Oasis, a Christian youth group for junior and senior high students. Mentors build relationships with students by playing games with them and leading small group discussions. Oasis meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30 pm. If you have a special skill or workshop to teach our kids, or if you would like to come read a story during Story Time, contact Kacie at kacie@thegreenhousecenter.org. Committees: Volunteers are needed to serve on our Fund Development and Programs Committees. The Fund Development committee works with the Executive Director to identify and develop potential sources of funding. Meetings are every other month. The Programs Committee oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of the GreenHouse’s programs. Meetings are every other month. Summer Day Camp Leader: Day Camp leaders are needed for Adventure Zone to supervise small groups of children during day camp activities and field trips.
